The Journey ..
The Show That Started
It All
In October 2025, I attended the Robertson Show and somehow just started taking photos with my cellphone (Almost 2000 photos).
I really wanted to share the photos, so decided to start a Facebook page.
I didn't expect the amazing reception I received from my photos, and that really encouraged me to continue the photography journey.
Sharing these photos with an audience that mirrors my own passion for horses brings me immense joy!
The Turning Point
This was the second event I photographed—and once again, I relied entirely on my cellphone.
While I managed to capture some truly great shots, the limitations of mobile photography were starting to frustrate me. It was after this show that I dove into some serious research and finally pulled the trigger on my first "real" camera! It’s second-hand, but in pristine condition and ready for action.
The First of Many
This was the very first show I photographed using my new camera, and I was officially hooked! The transition to professional gear—with those crisp details and powerful zoom capabilities—changed everything. I truly love capturing these candid, unscripted moments that might otherwise go unnoticed.
This show was particularly special. Seeing these young horses with so much promise and such bright futures ahead of them is inspiring, and I feel honored to document the start of their journeys. It is a privilege I don't take lightly.
Chasing the Perfect Line
Showjumping: a sport that has always been a passion of mine, and now, my latest challenge behind the lens. This was the very first time I’ve photographed a jumping event, and it was a steep learning curve!
From timing the perfect stride to balancing exposure and shutter speed, there is so much technical precision required in a split second. I had to learn on my feet, and while I know I still have plenty to master, I am incredibly excited about the road ahead.
